广州宏昌胶粘带厂始建于1992年，是目前中国的胶粘制品产销及出口企业之一，现任中国胶粘剂工业协会常务理事兼压敏胶及制品分会主任单位、压敏胶及制品(PSA)标准委员会主任单位，广东知识产权保护协会副会长单位。2007年起参与标准建设，是将于2008年颁布实施的聚丙烯压敏胶粘带标准的制修订单位。公司是高新技术企业，自有品牌是广东省，中国产品。现有员工600余人，年产胶粘剂5万吨，胶粘带10亿平方米。
